Open-cell polyurethane foam (0.5 lb/ft³ density) expands approximately 100x to fill wall cavities, ceiling bays, and irregular geometries completely. Its open cellular structure provides good sound transmission class (STC) performance, reducing airborne noise between rooms and from exterior sources. Vapor-open at typical installed thickness — it allows moisture to pass through safely rather than trapping it in the wall assembly. Applied in a single pass to target thickness and trimmed flush with stud faces for drywall.
